"Sam Newgarth's Evening of Popular Music" is now in its 10th year. Four talented musicians have been charming local music-lovers with their individual styles and hope to continue for many more years to come!
MÚzicas Editions was created in April 2005 by composer Paul Coles. Initially the company was conceived in order to publish his recent guitar composition, which are due to be recorded by the international guitarist Craig Ogden and released on the Nimbus Records label later this year. Paul has composed two pieces of music both of which have been premiered by the Westbourne Orchestra :“Celebration Rhapsody” for the Queen’s Jubilee in 2002 and “Huzza”, which won the “Richard Davis” composers competition in 2005.

A long established Chamber Music Society holding 6 concerts a year at Talbot Heath School. Well-known artists of the highest quality are booked for these concerts, which are now in their 61st Season.

Welcome to the South West Region of Making Music.  We are a large Region stretching from Gloucestershire in the north and Bournemouth in the east to Cornwall in the west.  Some 250 Orchestral Groups, Choirs and music Societies in the Region already are members of Making Music.
The great 19th century French composer Hector Berlioz holds a unique place in musical history. Far ahead of his time, he was one of the most original of great composers, but also an innovator as a practical musician, and a writer and critic whose literary achievement is hardly less significant than his musical output. Few musicians have ever excelled in all these different fields at once.

Since its inaugural concert in 1987 the Dorset Chamber Orchestra has performed widely throughout the area from Bridgwater and Axminster to Ringwood and Christchurch with an auspicious debut at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall in 1996.

Stromenti is a versatile professional ensemble from Bournemouth, whose members are key players with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and senior music staff from Canford School.
