Finalists' Competition 3 March 2018

On Saturday 3 March the Finals of our 2018 Adult (21+) Concerto Competition will be held at 1930 in
Kimmeridge Hall, Bournemouth University, Talbot Campus.
Having come through the auditions in January, the four finalists in our Adult (21+) Concerto Competition will be competing to take the trophy and come back to perform their chosen concerto with Westbourne Orchestra on Saturday 21st July 2018.
The finalists and their chosen concertos (from which they will play one movement) are:
Sirius Chau (Flute): Flute Concerto by Ibert
Natasha Hall (Violin): Poeme Op.25 by Ernest Chausson
Jinah Shim (Piano): Concerto No. 3 in C minor by Beethoven
Patrick Davies (Clarinet): Clarinet Concerto in F Minor by Bernhard Crusell

Choral concert with Brockenhurst Choir and Total Voice Chamber Choir on Saturday 12 May 2018
We are delighted that the full orchestra's next concert is a choral one with Brockenhurst Choir and Total Voice Chamber Choir at 1930 on Saturday 12 May 2018 at St Ambrose Church, 72 West Cliff Road, Westbourne, Bournemouth BH4 8BE. Programme: National Anthem (Britten), Westbourne Strings will then perform Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasia Overture, then the full orchestra with Brockenhurst Choir and Total Voice Chamber Choir will perform the Sea Symphony by Vaughan Williams (Soprano: Samantha Crawford, Baritone: Alex Cook).
